Quincy JV baseball team played in the Napoleon JV Invitational Saturday. The Orioles would end the day with a 1 and 1 record. Beating host Napoleon 11 to 0 before losing to Hanover-Horton JV 3 to 2 in 8 innings. Game one saw solid pitching from Caleb Wendorf lasting 4.2 innings allowing only 1 hit, 0 runs and 3Ks. Andrew Dunn finished off the final 1.1 innings not allowing a single hit and striking out 3 Pirates. Cobee Stevens and Mason Smith both had 3 hits. Drew Carlisle had a pair of hits and Wendorf settled for a single. Game 2 saw a pitchers duel between Hanover’s starter and Stevens. Stevens went 7 innings allowed 1ER and struck out 10 Comet hitters. Quincy struggled at the plate only collecting 4 hits in the loss. Joe Gray, Stevens, Dunn and Smith all had 1 hit each.

We want all of our WarHammer Club kids to feel the love, so please enjoy the rest of their artwork. They did an impressive job in these, showing diligence and patience. Way to go!

Last week and this week, students have been hard at work painting up their Space Marines and/or Necron model for the Warhammer Club! They have been showing tons of creativity and enthusiasm for this new project!

Branch Area Career Center held their 65th On-The-Job Training and Outstanding Senior Banquet, and recognized 16 Quincy High School OJT Seniors as well as 6 Orioles who earned Senior of the Year awards for their departments! Way to go Orioles!

Mrs. Barve's middle school science class is learning about Populations and Resources within ecosystems. Students are working together to create and understand how population growth affects an organisms ecosystem 🌳🔬

Quincy Orioles Dominate Duel Track Meet Despite Rainy Start Quincy, MI — The middle school track meet hosted by Quincy Community Schools on Tuesday, May 6 showed the fierce competition and determination by our young Orioles. Despite a rainy start that soaked the track, the Quincy Orioles rose to the occasion and delivered a commanding performance against visiting teams, the Stockbridge Panthers and the Maple Valley Lions. As the meet progressed, so did the weather. By the time the final relay races were run, the sun had broken through and we ended our night under pleasant skies. The Quincy Orioles not only won the meet—they dominated it, setting several personal bests and bringing home top finishes across the board. Quincy Team Scores for the night: Boys Quincy 116 Stockbridge 14 Quincy 102 Maple Valley 22 Girls Quincy 78 Stockbridge 37 Quincy 74 Maple Valley 52 The boys team ended the night with 26 new PRs and the girls with 16. A couple highlights for the night include the girls 4X400 (B. Porter, L. Tappenden, G. Hemker, and M. Sattison) taking almost eight seconds off their best time, Nathan Dunn trimming almost 13 seconds from his mile, Gibson James throwing over a foot further than his last PR, and Dylan Musser taking almost half-a-second from his 55 hurdles. Join us for our last Tri of the season in Springport on May 8 starting at 4:30.

Quincy Lady Orioles Dominate Maple Valley in 8-0 Victory The Quincy girls varsity soccer team hit the road Monday night and delivered a commanding 8-0 win over Maple Valley. The Lady O’s showcased their offensive depth and teamwork in a dominant performance. Leading the scoring effort were Laura Bostic with a hat trick (3 goals) and Izzy Barrio with two goals. Kenzi Maynard, Yoselin Beltran, and Abby Hinds each added a goal apiece. Assists came from a strong supporting cast, including Bostic, Alivia Carpenter, Yoselin Beltran, Abby Hinds, and Jessica Beltran. Quincy's defense was equally impressive, keeping pressure on Maple Valley and limiting their scoring opportunities throughout the match. With the win, Quincy improves to 13-4 overall and remains undefeated in conference play at 7-0. The Lady Orioles return home Wednesday night for a key conference matchup against Springport.

Quincy Orioles JV baseball team played a double header against Union City Chargers JV Monday night. Game one saw the Orioles dominate the Chargers winning by a final of 13 to 3 in 5 innings. Cobee Stevens took to the mound the righty went all 5 innings on 77 total pitches allowing 1ER and striking out 3. Mason Smith and Caleb Wendorf (2B) both had a pair of hits. Drew Carlisle, Andrew Dunn, Joe Gray and Caden Norris all had hits for the Orioles. Game 2 saw solid pitching from both sides as Quincy lost by a 3 to 2 margin. Dunn started the game going 3 strong innings allowing 0ER and getting 3Ks. Wendorf came on lasting 3 innings allowing 1ER. Stevens had 2 hits (2B). While Dunn and Gray each collected a knock in the loss.
