As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, Quincy Community Schools will be implementing our updated Wireless Communication Device Policy in accordance with Michigan law (MCL 380.1303a). Under the updated policy, students will be expected to power down and put away their personal wireless devices upon entering the school building and keep them stored for the remainder of the school day. This includes cell phones, earbuds, headphones, smartwatches, and other similar personal wireless devices. Exceptions will be made when a student’s IEP requires a device, Section 504 Plan, or documented medical necessity.

We know changes like this can take some adjustment for students and families. Our goal is not simply to keep devices out of students’ hands—it is to create a school environment where students are present, engaged with their teachers and classmates, and focused on learning.

We appreciate our families’ partnership and support as we begin the new school year!

Please take a moment to review the flyer below for additional information about the updated policy and expectations.

Go Orioles!

Dear Quincy High School Community,

It is an absolute honor and a privilege to introduce myself as the new Principal of Quincy High School! As a proud Michigan educator, I am thrilled to join the Oriole family and partner with our outstanding students, dedicated staff, and supportive families to build upon Quincy’s rich tradition of excellence.

High school is a pivotal time in a student's journey—a period marked by growth, discovery, and preparing for the future. As Principal, my goal is to ensure that every student who walks through our doors feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. Whether in the classroom, on the field, in the arts, or through community involvement, we want our Orioles to soar.

Over the coming weeks, my top priority is to listen, learn, and get to know the people who make Quincy High School so special. I firmly believe that strong relationships between the school, home, and community are the foundation of student success. My door is always open, and I welcome your thoughts, questions, and ideas as we work together to support our students.

Thank you for welcoming me so warmly into the Quincy community. I am energized for the year ahead and cannot wait to see all that our students will accomplish.

Go Orioles!

Warmly,

Jason Brant

Our offices have transitioned to summer hours while school is not in session.

As our staff balances summer projects, training, and well-deserved vacation time, office availability may occasionally change. A quick phone call before you visit can help to make sure we are here and ready to help you.

Thank you for your understanding, and we wish everyone a happy and safe summer!
