Good morning and Happy Homecoming Friday, Quincy Community Schools will be on a 2-hour delay due to dense fog. Also, the 4th grade trip to Lansing will be postponed to a later date. Have a great morning and be safe on the roads.

Some of our 5th graders were busy cleaning and prepping plastic lids for our "buddy bench" project. Mrs. McCullough believes we are over 8 pounds with this load. Keep the plastic lids coming!

Students in Mr. Miller’s science class had an exciting opportunity to observe microscopic organisms up close, thanks to a special sample provided by Mrs. Ludlow from her pond. A big thank you to her for helping bring science to life!

Greetings Orioles
Quincy participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. The GREAT NEWS is that ALL students enrolled at Quincy can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to your household each day IF the district qualifies through significant responses to the Education Benefit Form.

We need your household to complete the Education Benefit Form. This form is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc.

These supplemental programs have the potential to offer supports and services for our students including, but not limited to:
● Instructional support (staff, supplies & materials, etc.)
● Non-instructional services (counseling, social work, health services, etc.)
● Professional Learning for staff
● Parent and Community engagement supplies and activities
● Technology

We are asking that you please complete and submit the Education Benefit Form as soon as possible to ensure that additional funding for our school is available to meet the needs of our students. All information on the report submitted is confidential. Without your assistance in completing and returning the report, our school cannot maximize the use of available State and Federal funds and may not be able to continue providing FREE breakfast and lunch to all students after October 1, 2025.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful last stretch of summer! As a reminder, our open houses are NEXT WEEK, on Thursday, August 14.

Jennings Elementary School : 4:00-6:00
Quincy Middle School: 4:30-6:30
Quincy High School: 5:00-7:00

The MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL will be doing pictures around the open house schedule. We appreciated your feedback from last year, so we are expanding the timeframe from 3:00-8:00 in our commons area. This will hopefully allow everyone to fit those pictures in with your evenings.

If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate office. See you next week!

Wow. Just wow. Our event today was a HUGE success! It was wonderful seeing so many Quincy families this afternoon. We appreciate you taking the time to come pick up some supplies and enjoy some food. Things like this are what make our community so wonderful. We couldn't have done this without the efforts, generosity, and time from a handful of folks. Thank you to Kenny Cox (Class of 2018) and Kristy Buckley (who quickly jumped in to help provide more for our kids). Neither of these individuals asked for any recognition, but they deserve it. Also, thank you Ms. Elisha and Ms. Kara from food service for all the yummy food. Finally, thank you to Mr. Denney and Mrs. Suever for helping with the event. We hope you enjoy the last couple weeks of summer and we will see you soon! Happy Saturday, Mr. Suever
